YOUR JOB

The goal in this position is to take care of purchasing, with a strong focus on IT, to ensure that all suppliers meet expectations for quality, delivery, cost and technology for Ingenico ePayments.
 
Your key responsibilities are:

  • Support internal customers with their needs, assist in drafting statement of work (SOWs), specifications and service-level agreement (SLA)
  • Present requirements and objectives to vendors, promote competition and obtain quotes
  • Negotiate terms, conditions and pricing as well as create contract with vendors and with our legal support
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors
  • Participate in problem resolution discussions with suppliers and ensures the adequacy and timeliness of supplier correction action plans
  • Keep purchase records by assuring that purchase activities and performances are fully documented

YOUR QUALITIES

  • Ideally a similar experience in purchasing
  • Fluent Dutch and/or French; good professional working proficiency in English (both in speaking and writing)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications including wide experience of word documents, Excel spreadsheets (including pivot tables and charts) and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of MRP systems
  • Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures
  • Strong negotiating & influencing skills, action orientation and problem solving. Background in conducting RFP processes
  • Flexible and open to new ideas & challenges
  • Empathetic, results oriented, driven, good teamwork and cooperation
  • Capable of identifying and validating new ways to generate savings/cost avoidance
  • Ability to take initiatives and work cross functionally
  • Accurate and organized in work. Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects
  • Knowledge of financial services or payment industry is a big plus
  • knowledge of software development processes and the involvement of parties in the delivery chain
