YOUR JOB
You will join a growing development team to help build and extend an existing transactional financial platform. Initial focus is on interfaces to that platform: both interface to human (web, application, mobile) and to machine (API’s, protocols). Testing and automating processes with the necessary validations and checks are to be put in place. A mix of structured and agile techniques will be acquired.
In this challenging function, your tasks will include:
- Guiding and helping fellow developers with your expertise
- Taking responsibility in the full development cycle of financial products (research, specifications, documentation, building, testing, releasing and maintaining)
- Taking into account the boundaries and limitations of stakeholders
- Specifying, engineering and improving a financial platform based on functional requirements and business requests
- Documenting, implementing and maintaining such a system
YOUR QUALITIES
Background
- Academic level of education
- +4 years of experience
Languages
- Proficient in English/Dutch or English/French
Technical skills
- Self guided
- Knowledge of object oriented programming languages (Java)
- Knowledge of SQL (Stored procedures, ACID)
- Interest in client side techniques (HTML, CSS, Javascript)
- Knowledge of high performance, multithreaded, high-load, always on software
- Ability to produce well structured documentation
- The following interests or knowledge would be helpful for your job, but not required: encryption, PKI, Usability, i18n, l10n, test automation, security, C/C++
- Knowledge of accounting principles
