As an Interaction Designer, you will play a key role in the creative team. You are an expert in user-centred design. You will work on a variety of projects, from concept to prototype to end product. That goes far beyond just developing wireframes: you should feel responsible for context, customer journey and content, and integrate them into your design. You like to work ‘Agile’ and you strive to limit your deliverables.
Naturally, you will ensure that end-users are actively involved in your design process: whether that means walking into the local coffee house or setting up an (extensive) online usability test. Clients can’t live without your support. You know how to rally the troops around that one idea that will make your client even more successful online. Because your passion is to constantly make the web a bit better and more user-friendly.
What do we expect?
The ideal candidate for Interaction Designer is confident, ambitious, and has a sharp analytical ability. The challenge is to craft pragmatic solutions for complex problems that stand up to rigorous testing. You define problems and solve them using an evidence-based rationale. You think about systems and the people using them, not just the user interface. You work in a structured way: others might think you’re a bit of a list-junkie. You manage well with other fields related to Interaction Design: you understand the basics of (web) design and have an affinity for technology. In the team you are responsible for making it work, making it feel good and to present your ideas in a effective manner. Naturally, you have a Bachelor or Master degree in interaction design or a related field.
For Medior Interaction Designers, we primarily think that experience working as an interaction designer for large clients is important: you understand the dynamics of a large company and you are prepared to start a true digital transformation. We also think it’s important that you regularly show up to work in a good mood. If you’re good at table football (foosball), that’s certainly an advantage.
One more thing: Mirabeau works for clients throughout the Netherlands, so you should be prepared to occasionally travel a bit. Incidentally, Mirabeau’s client list outside of the Netherlands is growing, too. If you’re interested, there might even be a place for you to work in Hong Kong for a few weeks.
Working at Mirabeau
We believe in an intense collaboration between all the various disciplines. Therefore, we work as often as possible in agile teams – scrum. You will often work with Visual Designers and Front-end Developers, but also with data experts, software engineers and application administrators. Collaboration with a common objective: delivering the highest quality.
At Mirabeau, you will be part of an ambitious, professional and friendly team with a passion for online technology. You will work for some of the most visited websites in the Netherlands, like Transavia, SNSbank, Praxis, KLM and NVM. Everything we do has a direct impact on a large majority of Dutch Internet users. So we always seek the very best colleagues!
Our people are important to us. Without them, Mirabeau could never have grown to become the largest full-service Internet agency in the country. We value long-term relationships, both with our colleagues and our clients. We offer competitive employment packages and we ensure a pleasant atmosphere in which we balance work with relaxation. We have a spacious, open floor plan with modern equipment. Relevant trade publications and literature are always available to you.
